Nature, Native American art, most of a lifetime working with horses and cattle, and a deep appreciation of the work of the great master blacksmiths, inspires us to do what we do. However, we do think that imitating others stifles creativity so we believe that one should follow his own path..........................

besides being a fulltime smith, Rik teaches a blacksmithing class at the local college.

And we believe that the pathway to good blacksmith design is found through the old methods. that said: all metal components are forged in their entirety to create a rich texture in three dimensions. traditional joinery SUCH AS: FORGE WELDS, COLLARS, TENONS RIVETS, AND WRAPPED JOINTS ARE USED AS DESIGN ELEMENTS. OLD WORLD CRAFTSMANSHIP AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL ARE FORGED INTO Every COMPONENT.
